Hi Alicia,

So glad to hear that you do not feel to bad. The anti nausea meds these days are very good. As for your eyes and the blurry vision, with time it will go away. My eyes were also very sensitive an watery. I remember that people sometimes walked up to me and asked me if I am allright....thought I was crying....lol

Lots of rest and water will also do wonders.

Please KUP.

xx

Dear All

Thank you soooo much for all the support. A special thank you to Laurika for her phone calls and commandeering the troups when I was down.

I have survived chemo number 1. Eight more to go. At this stage I am coping with mouth ulcers and a sore throat. The double vision, thank God, has disappeared together with the anxiety and jittery feelings. I believe they were a side-effect of the Maxolon I was taking for the nausea, as the anxiety and double vision disappeared when I stopped taking the tablets.

The mouth ulcers etc is an indication to me that the chemo is working... If it was not working, I would not have had any side-effects! Trying to think positively about all the poison that is being put into my system. Found that quite scary to cope with after the chemo.

On a positive note: I was able to talk to a woman who has just been diagnosed and give her some hope. Can you believe that??? I have encouraged her to join BB, but she is not computer literate.

Love to you all

Alicia

Hi Alicia, so glad to hear you are doing okay. I was getting worried when we had not heard from you. As I said before most of the ladies here have all had first hand experience with chemo, and will help you through it.
Hugs,
Daisy

Hi Alicia,
I was reading your posts and was thinking to send you some hugs and good luck, Im still not yet 40, but had lump removed in january, had 9 chemo sessions till 8th december last year, and have 10 of 30 daily radiations sessions left........The final step is herceptin every 3 weeks till september, then im hoping to be clean, all in His Hands though. And guess what, i even have long enough hair to use hairgel to try and look a bit less like a guy!!!
During all this time, i have turned to this website for support, and hae had so much love and good wishes from all the bb ladies, that it has been a bit less stressful - if having breast cancer can be at all, but yes!!

i hope u are coping well, and will have you in my prayers every night!

Hi Amanda

Only just found your message. Sorry about that. How are you doing? Seems like you are having quite a tough time with all those radiation sessions. No radiation for me, but one never knows now that I am getting a new oncologist... This is a long road, but all of a sudden I am feeling like it will end, and that there will be life after this. Or should I say, life WITH this?

Love

Alicia
