To all my buddies!

I was diagnosed with breast cancer just a little bit more than a month ago (25 July 2008). The shock and thoughts I experienced can't be explained in words. I am only 29, happily married, have a two year old daughter and are surrounded by friends and family who loves me. What more could I have asked for? Yet I complained about small things that did not go or come my way, I did not appreciate my life like I should have. Then suddenly, the eye opener! Life is not only about US!!!

The prognosis given to me aren’t good, Grade III, HER2 Positive.....It took me a complete weekend to accept the fact that I cannot change my situation, I can only try and make the BEST of it!

I started looking for answers and solutions. I decided that there MUST come some good from the bad! If my life ends one day, l want to look back, smile and say, "I've done my best!â€

Monica, well done, I really admire you for doing this. You are so right, there is just not enough available support and it is very necessary to speak to people who are going through a similar thing. My cousin and I both were going through it at the same time and often we were the only ones who understood each other. So many "angels" came my way when I needed them and if I can do anything for you please just tell me. Even when you are weary and tired from your chemo reach out if I can help.
love Debbie

Thank you Debbie!
You yourself will know that one is not always in the mood to get all dressed up and to put on a happy face to go out. In this case you just turn on the computer and start opening your heart. It has helped me alot just saying my say here! I feel so much better afterwards. And soon there will be many more "companions" to share our feelings with!

I am just glad that you found something to occupy your mind because if you sit the whole day doing nothing and wondering and worrying it will surely eat you up. So this is a brilliant invention. I enjoy this because it feels so homey [smilie=1116.gif]

And opthr forums you get all these people who show off their perfectness (don't know if there is such a word) but here we are all flawed in different ways and it makes the union so much stronger.

I have the same life motto. I use my expensive perfume lavishly because there might not be that special ocasion in the future. I live every day. Sometimes i go overboard but no one is guaranteed a tommorow
