RULES

These rules are in place so that the forum and its boards can keep working the way they are intended to. For the most part these rules will not need to be enforced as the majority of people will not break any of them in normal use of the forum

Again, if you think something on the forum is wrong, or someone has posted something offensive or that is spam then please report it to a moderator using the link to the right of the post. Do not reply to the poster and argue with them about it as that may result in action being taken about your behavior.

Additionally, while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

If you have a question, concern or complaint about any of these rules or the forum moderators, please contact them or the administrator directly by Private Message DO NOT discuss it openly within the forum.


• Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

• Do not engage in personal attacks on other forum members. This includes making prejudicial or hateful remarks, threats of physical harm, hacking, threats concerning personal data, objectionable language, etc. Any threads found to be of this nature will be closed and possibly deleted. The offending user will subsequently be reported to the administrators for consideration of further action. If you cannot be civil when replying, please do not reply. We strive to make this a friendly community.

• No Discrimination - You may not insult members based on their religion, race, sex, political beliefs, or sexual orientation. This is worse than flaming, because it also hurts other members of the board who fall into the category you insult. TCF is a place where everyone is equal, and discrimination will not be tolerated.

• No Bullying - Do not pick on or gang up on other members. The worst kind of bullying is where new members are picked on. This hurts the member as well as the board.

• Please do not try to convert anyone to your way of thinking whether it be your political philosophy, religion preference or any other kind of preference or choice. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and should not be made to change theirs because you don't agree with it. If someone does ask for help with anything relating to 'their opinion', then either help them in a friendly way or ignore the thread/post.

• Threads to go off topic, and most importantly, it hurts the person being flamed. Although the victim may defend themselves against the immediate accusations made to them, they may not make any additional accusations to the flamer (which also counts as flaming).

• No Profanity or Obscene Content - Such content does not belong on TCF. A censor system is in place as a backup. If you see words in your post being replaced with ****, you have done something wrong. Please edit your post and tone it down before so a moderator won't have to. To edit a post, click the "Edit" button. Cheating the censor system is against the rules. We also do not allow posts or links to sites that are sexual in nature or violate Community Forum standards. The forum team here shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

• If you are troubled with something someone has posted in a thread, and think it violates the Forum Rules, you have the option of making us aware of it by clicking on "Report Abuse". This link can be found in the lower right hand corner of the particular post you are interested in reporting. Please don't respond by posting a harsh rebuttal to a message you find disagreeable. This will only lead to an endless exchange of non-constructive dialog that will not benefit the users or the forum. Any threads found to be of this nature will be closed and possibly deleted.

• Do not post advertisements, spam, links to malware, cracker, hacker, "warez", potentially dangerous sites (to another user's PC), or sites that may contain material offensive or objectionable to other users.

• Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting.

• Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

• Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc.

• Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing".

• That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc.

• The ADMINISTRATOR reserves the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to the ADMINISTRATOR and not users.

• The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging.


In an ongoing effort to keep this forum a friendly and productive place, we submit to you that mutual respect is the guideline by which this forum will be moderated and administered. All users will be treated with respect and courtesy and they are expected to show the same respect and courtesy to other forum members.


Signatures
• Signatures may contain up to five lines of text (of small or normal size) and/or one image, valid combinations include; a single image of no more than 60px high, 468px wide and 6kB (6000 Bytes) in size. Signatures containing an image this large may also include one line of small size text. Signatures containing an image of 30px high may include up to three lines of small size text or two lines of normal size text. Images of 15px height or less may allow up to three lines of normal size text or four lines of small size text. Animated images are not allowed.

• Text sizes should be between 75% and 100% (small and normal). Text in signatures is subject to the same conditions as posts with respect decency, warez, emoticons, and so forth.

• Users abusing these rules will be warned.

Avatars
• Users are permitted to utilise a gallery avatar or to link to one of their own (subject to previous points on misuse of bandwidth). User defined avatars are to be no larger than 90 pixels square, contain no animation, contain no image which attempts to portray the user as having an official status here (e.g. mimicking ranks or copying avatars of team members), may not exceed 6kB (6000 Bytes) in filesize and have a consistently high availability (i.e. links to images on slow servers or those prone to failure may be removed).

• Avatars are subject to the same conditions as posts with respect decency, and so forth.

• Users abusing these rules will be warned and/or may lose their avatar privileges
